#ObjectProject is our monthly hashtag that challenges our community on Instagram. Get involved, join the creative community, and have your work seen by the Whalar team!
Leading December's #ObjectProject we have Laura Pashby (aka @circleofpines), whose literary background imbues her photography with a vivid sense of storytelling. With that in mind, this month's theme is all about telling the story of this time of year with #ObjectProject_Wreath!
Since joining the Instagram community in 2012, Laura's hashtag #LittleStoriesOfMyLife has inspired over 1.3million creations, and has gone on to lay the foundations for her e-course of the same name. Helping creatives to; "find the magic in the everyday and harness the power of your own small stories."
We're pretty sure that the project is in good hands with Laura, and can't wait to see what her guidance inspires everyone to create. The festive season can be incredibly hectic, so we wanted the theme to encourage everyone to switch off a little and get lost in the meditative process of creating a wreath. As Laura said, it's important to remember that;
"it's as much about the process of making the wreath as it is about the finished product."
To find out what Laura will be looking for when judging, pick up tips on wreath making, and generally get lost in the beauty of the winter woodlands, be sure to watch Laura's video.
To enter your own creation, add the hashtag #ObjectProject_Wreath to content shared on your main Instagram grid. The winner will receive a beautiful framed print of their work, and be chosen by Laura, on Wednesday 19th December at 5pm GMT. You've got two weeks to gather inspiration from Laura's video, pop over to our Pinterest board for extra ideas, and last but not least, create your entries!
